The Opportunity
The Reputation Marketing Specialist supports the execution of programs that showcase the NSLC as a responsible steward, valued community partner, and employer of choice. This includes responsibility and community investment initiatives, talent-focused marketing campaigns, and shopper-facing events.
This individual plays a key role in executing campaign elements across internal and external channels, managing timelines, budgets, and approvals, while ensuring integration and alignment with NSLC strategies. The Specialist collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners, contributing subject matter expertise in reputation marketing to support the delivery of high-impact, insights-driven initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities
- Spearhead the planning, coordination, and execution of all reputation marketing campaigns and events from brief development through to program execution, budget reconciliation, and post-campaign measurement, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, stakeholder expectations, and brand standards
- Own cross-functional project management for all responsibility, community, and talent-focused marketing initiatives under the direction of the Manager, including the development of detailed workback schedules, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation plans
- Support the development of creative briefs and campaign toolkits; lead reviews and approval processes across multiple teams and stakeholder groups to ensure deliverables are on time, on brand, and within scope
- Track campaign timelines, budgets, and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and proposing solutions to keep projects on track
- Analyze reputation marketing program results and develop insights that drive informed decisions and recommendations for the NSLC and our partners
- Monitor, track, and report on program performance, staying current on marketing and social impact trends to identify opportunities and recommendations for the NSLC
- Act as the central point of coordination across key internal teams, including Corporate Social Responsibility, People & Culture, Digital Content, and Communications, to ensure campaign objectives, messaging, and timing are integrated across all channels
- Liaise with external agencies, suppliers, digital media teams, and other external stakeholders in support of NSLC Reputation Marketing initiatives as a subject matter expert for campaigns and events
- Responsible for the production and distribution of all reputation marketing materials and signage in collaboration with the Promotions team and NSLC’s external printing partner
- Lead NSLC event planning and execution, including internal and external stakeholder engagement, logistics coordination, promotional materials, and on-site support when required
- Develop the NSLC calendar of events and supporting tools for in-store teams to execute experiential shopper events focused on driving sales and category health in collaboration with the Category, Operations and Learning teams
- Lead the communication of reputation marketing initiatives to in-store teams through a collaborative approach, ensuring key stakeholders are informed and programs are executed with excellence
- Working with the Reputation Marketing & Creative Services Manager, provide support across NSLC reputation marketing initiatives and make recommendations in support of departmental and company business goals
- Lead and support key reputation marketing projects as required
Secondary Responsibilities
- Visit (NSLC and non-NSLC) retail locations a minimum of 9 times a year, with the Manager, to observe and assess our reputation marketing and creative efforts within the in-store environment, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Assist in the development and achievement of annual business unit plans, objectives, and budget; achieve individual objectives as assigned
- Proactively identify opportunities, initiating and implementing new ideas to improve our current systems and procedures within marketing
- Demonstrate commitment to the NSLC’s service standards, our values, and workplace health & safety
- Some travel and weekend work may be required with this role
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
As a qualified candidate, you will have:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Sales, Marketing, or Communications role
As an ideal candidate, you will also have:
- Marketing experience in a fast-moving consumer packaged goods industry with retail, service, or public sector experience preferred
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external agencies in a project management capacity is considered an asset
